Teachers who do not have four years of teaching experience but certificate is due for registration.

1. Complete ISBE 73-10 Certification Registration Form (please sign in both designated areas and answer all yes/no questions).

2. Pay the applicable fee amount

Teachers who have four years of teaching experience and have not met the required professional development and their certificate is due for registration.

1. Complete ISBE 73-93 Application for One-Year Reinstatement

2. $5.00 personal check or money order made payable to ROE #40.

Professional Development Options (complete one)

• Advanced education-related degree 
• Approved Induction and Mentoring Program - one-year program permitted if certified before September 1, 2007; two-year program required if certified on or after September 1, 2007. Please contact the office at 217-854-4016 for more information.
• National Board of Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) certification process
• 12 semester hours of graduate-level coursework toward an advanced, education-related degree  
• a 12-hour, post-baccalaurette, education-related professional development certificate issued by an Illinois institution of higher education
• Subsequent Illinois certificate or endorsement
• Requirements for becoming "highly qualified" in another teaching area for NCLB purposes
• Exam
• CPDUs

We are no longer required to stamp the back of the certificates, but will do so upon request. All your official records will be at Educator Certification System! Please print your records from the website for your records.
