Coronavirus (COVID-19)
This page is designed to serve as a resource for schools and school districts, as they work to prepare for, respond to, and minimize the impact of the Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19). The Illinois State Board of Education recommends that school districts follow the guidance of CDC and IDPH. Please remember that we are not doctors or lawyers, so school districts may still want to contact their own medical experts, legal counsel, and community resources as they make their preparations. We encourage our districts to be sure to keep their Boards of Education and parent communities up to date with their efforts to protect their students, staffs and communities from this disease. If you need to report a potential exposure or illness related to the coronavirus, call the Illinois Department of Public Health Hotline at 1-800-889-3931.

Learning Technology Center of Illinois LTC developed a webpage to specifically address e-learning. It lists ISBE regulations, LTC events, and resources developed by us and others. It also includes an E-Learning Plan Database, and we're encouraging all districts who have plans to share them of the site. The most frequent questions we're receiving right now are "what are other districts doing?" and "how do we prepare for e-learning?". This page will address those questions, and we also have staff who can work with districts as needed. If you have an e-learning plan or section on your district website addressing e-learning, please add it to the database: https://ltcillinois.org/services/elearning/ ISBE Guidance ISBE’s School Health Issues – This is ISBE’s pages for all things related to school health issues.
