High School Ariculture Scholarship - Deadline Approaching!

Agriculture Scholarship Program  
Application Deadline:  Tuesday, February 28, 2023



Program Details 
Thirty $2,500 scholarships are available to high school seniors with agricultural career aspirations planning to enroll in an agriculture-based college curriculum next fall. Two student applicants of color will be recognized as Diversity in Agriculture Scholars. Selection criteria includes academic achievement, participation and leadership within school and community organizations, and a commitment to pursuing an agriculture-related career. Recipients must reside – or their family must farm – in one of the 60 central and southern Illinois counties served by Farm Credit Illinois. Recipients receive $1,250 of the scholarship for the Fall 2023 semester and the remaining $1,250 will be available to students who continue pursuing an agricultural degree during the Fall 2025 semester.

Lincoln Land Community College Scholarship Match
Lincoln Land Community College’s agriculture program provides a $1,250 scholarship match to Farm Credit Illinois Agriculture Scholars enrolling fulltime in agriculture in the Fall 2023 semester. More information is available from Lincoln Land agriculture staff.

Open invitation - Collinsville High School Criminal Justice Jamboree

ROE 40 schools have been invited to attend.   Please share with any interested student!

The
 Collinsville Area Vocational Center’s Criminal Justice program is hosting a Criminal Justice Jamboree. The event is for any high school student who is considering the criminal justice field as a career. There will be dozens of interactive and hands-on stations for students to circulate through and learn about all of the different aspects of this field.  The link below the image is to a form where you can register and indicate approximately how many students you intend to bring. 

Attention all students: are you interested in a criminal justice career? Would you like to learn more and meet state, local,  federal criminal justice employees? Then come join us for the first-ever Collinsville High School Criminal Justice Jamboree.

Scholarships for ROE40 Students

Illinois Valley Economic Development Corporation
CSBG SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

 
Gillespie, IL -Stephanie Stahlhut, Executive Director for Illinois Valley Economic Development  Corporation has announced that its Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Program funded by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, will award scholarships to up to five income-eligible residents of Macoupin, Jersey, Greene, and Calhoun Counties.
The CSBG scholarships are open to income-eligible residents, who desire to further their education at an Illinois-accredited two-year community college, or four-year college or university. All applicants must be enrolled, or intend to enroll, as a full-time student taking 12 hours or more for the fall 2023 semester. This is a competitive scholarship and is not based solely on economic need.
Anyone interested in applying for the CSBG Scholarships should contact the IVEDC Office in their county. Applications will be accepted through March 15, 2023. Applications and further information are available from your county CSBG Outreach Staff.

Scholarship Application 2023 Scholarship Program Guidelines 

The Calhoun, Jersey, and Macoupin County Fair Associations, announce the  2023 Scholarship Program.
Under the Program scholarships will be awarded to seniors attending a high school in the three counties. These scholarships are designated for those students attending a vocational, trade, or technical school and will be awarded directly to the institution of the students choice. Program Guidelines & Priorities:  Seeking graduating seniors with a record of volunteerism in the community in non-school sponsored activities and participation in extracurricular school activities.  Applicants must plan to attend a vocational, trade, or technical school.  Scholarship funds will be paid in July 2023 directly to the college and not to the student. It will be the student’s responsibility to submit student ID number and higher learning institution  information to the scholarship program.  Application deadline is May 1, 2023 by 4:00 p.m . Late applications are not accepted. Email one copy of a completed typed application package to: brandonmoxley83@gmail.com The applications will be reviewed, and recipients selected by a committee consisting of judges that are not from the area. The scholarships will be awarded in July 2023.

Study.com Scholarship for Women in Engineering A $1,000 award will be given to a woman pursuing any associate or bachelor's degree program in an engineering related field of study. Study.com wants to assist in furthering the educational opportunities of women in engineering. 
Women in Computer Science Scholarship from Study.com A $1,000 award will be given to a female student pursuing any associate or bachelor's degree program emphasizing computer science. Women are historically underrepresented in computer science professions, and Study.com wishes to promote more interest and opportunity for women in these fields of study. 
Women in Business Study.com Scholarship Any woman pursuing a business degree can apply to the Women in Business Study.com Scholarship and be offered a $1,000 academic award. Study.com’s mission is to make education accessible, and we hope to bring this group of students access to a quality education with this scholarship. 
Study.com Scholarship for Black Women A $1,000 academic award is being offered to any Black woman pursuing their college degree through the Study.com Scholarship for Black Women. Study.com’s mission is to make education accessible, and we hope to bring this historically underrepresented group of students access to a quality education with this scholarship. 
Study.com Scholarship for Latin American Women Any Latin American woman pursuing their college degree is encouraged to apply to the Study.com Scholarship for Latin American Women to win a $1,000 academic award. 
Study.com Scholarship for Indigenous Women Any indigenous woman pursuing their college degree can apply to the Study.com Indigenous Women Scholarship and be offered a $1,000 academic award. Study.com Scholarship for Latin American Students The Study.com Scholarship for Latin American Students provides a $1,000 academic award to a student of Latin American descent who is pursuing their college degree. Asian American & Pacific Islander Student Study.com Scholarship Asian American and Pacific Islander students pursuing college degrees can apply to the Asian American & Pacific Islander Student Study.com $1,000 academic award. Study.com’s mission is to make education accessible, and we hope this scholarship helps to foster and encourage API students during their studies. 
Study.com Scholarship for DACA Students The Study.com DACA Student Scholarship is a $1,000 academic award for DACA students pursuing their college degree.
