4/20/2022 0 Comments New Dates for Bus Driver Trainings![]() We have new dates scheduled for an Initial Bus and the new federally mandated ELDT (MAP 21) theory classes. Just a reminder that the ELDT regulations set the minimum Federal requirements for training that entry-level drivers must complete before being permitted to take certain CDL skills or knowledge tests. This is just the theory portion that we will be offering, the BTW will still need to be completed by the school districts. The Initial class will still be $10.00 per individual and the ELDT will be $10.00 per individual. (If they will be attending both trainings that will be $20.00 total per individual.) Please contact me with the names and driver's license numbers of the individuals that will be attending. Even if you have previously given me this information for the classes that had to be cancelled, so that I can make sure that I have everybody down. I know that there are a few that have already taken the initial and just need the ELDT. There are some school districts that will be handling the ELDT themselves. Please specify which class(es) they will be attending. The 8 hour Initial Bus Training Class will be: Date: Wednesday, April 27, 2022 and Thursday, April 28, 2022 Time: 5:30 - 9:30 pm each night (must attend both nights) Location: ROE #40 Office 201 W. Exchange St. Jerseyville, IL 62052 The two hour ELDT Training: Date: Wednesday, May 4, 2022 Time: 5:30 - 7:30 pm Location: ROE #40 Office 201 W. Exchange St. Jerseyville, IL 62052

The Illinois Retired Teachers Association Foundation continues to work toward the future by offering $36,500 in grant money to educators.
How the Program Works Being an educator, do you often think of this phrase - Extra Funds Needed - when it comes to planning special projects for your students? Due to recent state budget cuts, you may be finding that additional revenue sources are no longer available for such unique activities. The Illinois Retired Teachers Association Foundation is making $36,500 in grant money available statewide in Illinois. This special grant will provide additional funds to public school educators (Pre-K through 12) so that their students will have the means to participate in special projects. How Can You Participate? Please download, complete, and submit the application online by clicking here. All proposals must be submitted by June 1, 2022. A special committee will select the recipients of the grant money over the summer. Grant awards will be presented in the fall. * Chicago Public School employees are not eligible for this grant program. Please click here for detailed information on the 2021 winners. ATTENTION:
Due to unforeseen circumstances we are going to have to reschedule the initial class that was scheduled for tomorrow, April 6 and Thursday, April 7 and the ELDT class that was scheduled for next Tuesday, April 12. Our trainer has had a medical issue come up that is requiring him to postpone. As soon as we are able to reschedule I will notify you immediately. Thank you for your understanding! |
