This 1-day learning experience is an opportunity for 5th-12th  grade educators to 1) learn how math 
(decimals, graphing, ordered pairs, formulas, etc.)  is used in machining, 2) engage in computer  
programing,  3)  practice  hands-on  activities  to  take  back  to  the  classroom,  4) experience 
 a  machining  design  challenge  and  take  home  your  creations,  5)  explore  online technology 
and various machines that can be used in the classroom and/or in the machining industry, 6) tour 
SWIC’s Precision Machining Department as well as a local machining business,
7) discover pathways & careers available to students that can  inspire students to learn and apply 
math skills, and 8) receive 6 PD hours!

Space is limited to the first 18 educators who register!
