Scholarships for ROE40 Students

Illinois Valley Economic Development Corporation
CSBG SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

 
Gillespie, IL -Stephanie Stahlhut, Executive Director for Illinois Valley Economic Development  Corporation has announced that its Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Program funded by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, will award scholarships to up to five income-eligible residents of Macoupin, Jersey, Greene, and Calhoun Counties.
The CSBG scholarships are open to income-eligible residents, who desire to further their education at an Illinois-accredited two-year community college, or four-year college or university. All applicants must be enrolled, or intend to enroll, as a full-time student taking 12 hours or more for the fall 2023 semester. This is a competitive scholarship and is not based solely on economic need.
Anyone interested in applying for the CSBG Scholarships should contact the IVEDC Office in their county. Applications will be accepted through March 15, 2023. Applications and further information are available from your county CSBG Outreach Staff.

Scholarship Application 2023 Scholarship Program Guidelines 

The Calhoun, Jersey, and Macoupin County Fair Associations, announce the  2023 Scholarship Program.
Under the Program scholarships will be awarded to seniors attending a high school in the three counties. These scholarships are designated for those students attending a vocational, trade, or technical school and will be awarded directly to the institution of the students choice. Program Guidelines & Priorities:  Seeking graduating seniors with a record of volunteerism in the community in non-school sponsored activities and participation in extracurricular school activities.  Applicants must plan to attend a vocational, trade, or technical school.  Scholarship funds will be paid in July 2023 directly to the college and not to the student. It will be the student’s responsibility to submit student ID number and higher learning institution  information to the scholarship program.  Application deadline is May 1, 2023 by 4:00 p.m . Late applications are not accepted. Email one copy of a completed typed application package to: brandonmoxley83@gmail.com The applications will be reviewed, and recipients selected by a committee consisting of judges that are not from the area. The scholarships will be awarded in July 2023.
