School Based Mental Health Grant

Does your district need additional school based mental health professionals?  Do you want financial help in supporting those people?

There is no catch!  This is not too good to be true!

Due to a federal grant given to Illinois, schools across the state are eligible to receive $25,000 if a school is expanding their school based mental health supports.

If you plan to hire a school counselor, social worker, or psychologist for the school year 2024-2025, you may qualify to receive $25,000 to offset the cost of their position.

You must meet the poverty threshold for a school in your district:
  • 60% for elementary
  • 45% for non-elementary

If you meet the poverty threshold, you are invited to complete the application.  The application will take less than 10 minutes to complete.

The deadline to complete the application is February 23.
